Mathew Perry to return to small screen

Matthew Perry, the former "Friends" star, is set to return to TV with a single-camera comedy.

London: Matthew Perry, the former "Friends" star, is set to return to TV with a single-camera comedy.
Hollywoodreporter.com reports that the 40-year-old Perry thought of the idea and will play a self-involved manager of a not-so-great sports arena and begins to reflect on his life on his 40th birthday.
Perry had met a few writers but finally decided on Alex Barnow and Mark Firek who will write the script and be the executive producers of the series. Thomas Schlamme, who had worked with Perry on "Friends", will direct and produce the show. The project is still being pitched to networks and has not been picked up yet. Perry is the third of the "Friends" cast to return to TV. Courtney Cox stars in "Cougar Town" and Matt LeBlanc has just signed on to star in the show "Episodes". IANS
