Ajay gets first tattoo on Sanju`s advice

Ajay Devgn has become the latest actor to join the tattoo brigade.

New Delhi: After Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan, Ajay Devgn has become the latest actor to join the tattoo brigade in Bollywood, thanks to his `All the Best` co-star Sanjay Dutt who forced him to go under the needle. The actor, who has also changed his surname from `Devgan` to `Devgn`, has got an inking of Lord Shiva on his chest, similar to the one sported by Dutt who has six tattoos on his body.
"It`s a Lord Shiva tattoo and Sanjay forced me for it. I got it made during the shooting of `All the Best`," said Devgan who was in the city to promote the upcoming comedy flick. The actor who is also producing the film had launched the music of the film at the Siddhi Vinayak temple, but said that the changed surname had nothing to do with superstition. "There is no superstition involved with this change of my surname for the movie. My family wanted me to change it for long and I was really apprehensive but finally I have done it," Devgn said. The actor who shares the screen with Bipasha basu, Mughdha Godse and Fardeen Khan in the comedy flick said that shooting for the film directed by Rohit Shetty, was like "one big party". The film has actual humour and it`s a clean comedy. The idea while making a comedy film is not to be different, but be good and new. I have good tuning with Rohit and `All the Best` has much more humour then my earlier films," says Devgn who was previously worked with Shetty in the hits `Golmaal` and `Golmaal Returns`. The film sees Devgn play a con man called Prem Chopra. "This Prem Chopra is not influenced by the real Prem Chopra. He is a trickster who thinks he is very smart but he is a fool who lands everybody in trouble with his deeds," the actor said. However, the movie is facing legal trouble with another producer Karan Ramsay moving the Bombay high court claiming a copyright over the film`s script. "I am in Delhi now and I have heard about these allegations. I will see to them when I reach Mumbai," the actor, who has also produced the film, told PTI. The National Award-winning actor, who began his career as an action hero with `Phool Aur Kaante`, said he does not want to restrict himself to a particular genre. "It`s not that I want to do only comedy or only action films. I am lucky enough to do all kind of roles. You have to work in different movies otherwise you will get bored," he says. The actor`s other upcoming film `London Dreams` which is slated for an October 30 release sees him re-uniting with Salman Khan after a decade. They last worked together in the 1999 hit `Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam`. "I maybe acting with Salman after ten years but its not that I haven`t been seeing him but it was good to work with him after so long," Devgn said. The actor`s other upcoming projects include `Rajneeti`, `Once Upon A Time In Mumbai`, `Naam` and `Golmaal 3`. Bureau Report
