Madhuri to judge ‘Jhalak Dikhla Jaa’

Madhuri Dixit has finally given her consent to be a judge on TV.

Mumbai: Bollywood’s original ‘Dancing Queen’ Madhuri Dixit has finally given her consent to be a judge on the dance based reality show ‘Jhalak Dikhla Jaa’. Known for her million dollar smile, sensual eyes and graceful steps, Madhuri Dixit will be making her debut on the Indian television with ‘Jhalak Dikhla Jaa’. The dance based reality show will be produced by BBC Worldwide Productions. Talking to a daily on Madhuri’s approval to be a part of ‘Jhalak Dikhla Jaa’, a source said, “The modalities have been worked out. What is very exciting is that Madhuri has loved the concept of the show.” Apparently, convincing Madhuri for the show was not a cake walk as the source said, “The broadcasters of ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa’ made Madhuri see the original format of ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa’ – ‘Dancing With the Stars’. The screening was held in Los Angeles. Only after seeing it in detail did Madhuri say ‘yes’.” The Guinness Book of World Records 2010 recently announced ‘Dancing With the Stars’ as officially the most successful reality show based on format sales, spin-off shows and viewing figures. Elaborating on superstar Madhuri’s entourage, the source added, “Madhuri will be given top facilities during her stay in Mumbai. The broadcasters shall provide with a car. And the entire expenses of her stay in Mumbai will also be borne by them.” Confirming the news, Madhuri Dixit’s secretary, Rakeshnath said, “I complete 25 years of working relationship with Madhuriji on November 4, which is incidentally my 60th birthday.”
