Businessman spreads anti-suicide message with catchy t-shirts

Mumbai: In an attempt to curb the alarming rate of teenage suicide, a Mumbai businessman has started selling t-shirts emblazoned with quirky slogans. The businessman Manmohan Singh said academic success should not determine a student`s achievement, adding that Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi reached great heights despite a not-so-stellar education record.
"I went through Mahatma Gandhi`s autobiography, where I read that he had failed Latin when he entered further studies. Just think if he had committed suicide because of that? Where would we be?" said Singh. "Even Winston Churchill failed. Einstein was thrown out of school and now he is seen as a great scientist. The same thing happened to Darwin," he added. Ranging from Rs 200 to 250, Singh`s t-shirts are quickly catching the eyes of students keen on spreading his message. "I really liked the message on these t-shirts. I am going to buy them for my friends who have exams coming up. I would like them to wear them on the day of their exams, so that other students will also be able to see the slogans and take their exams," said Nisha, a student in Mumbai. ANI ANI
