KEI Industries Q4 net profit soars six-fold at Rs 10.62 cr

New Delhi: Electrical cables and wires maker KEI Industries Tuesday reported a nearly six-fold increase in its net profit for the quarter ended March 31 at Rs 10.62 crore.

The net income during the fourth quarter also went up by 47.25 percent to Rs 536.77 crore from Rs 364.53 crore in the year-ago period, it added.

For the entire 2011-12 fiscal, its net profit rose by over two-fold to Rs 24.33 crore from Rs 10.56 crore in the previous fiscal.

The company's net income during FY'12 stood at Rs 1,722.30 crore compared to Rs 1,163.11 crore in FY'11, up 48.08 percent, it said.

The board of directors has recommended a dividend of Re 0.20 per share, which is 10 percent of each equity share's face value.

Shares of KEI Industries Tuesday closed 5.57 percent down at Rs 16.10 apiece on the BSE.
