Mumbai: Deepika Padukone might have got her break opposite Shah Rukh Khan, but it’s Saif Ali Khan who makes her go weak in the knees. The actress, who was last seen with chote nawab in ‘Love Aaj Kal’ is too smitten by him.
So much so is Deepika in awe of the actor that she keenly accepts any film that has Saif in the main lead. What’s more is that Deepika even campaigns to get roles in films that have Saif as the main protagonist.
And if sources are to be believed then it was this fascination for Saif that prompted Deepika to accept ‘Race 2’. Reports even suggest that Deepika, who had agreed upon doing a main role in Vishal Bhardwaj’s ‘Dreams’, backed out at the last moment when she was informed that Saif was having second thoughts about the project.
Confirming the news a source said, “Saif had reservations about certain aspects of the script; especially, the second half of the story. He expressed his opinions but the writer-director was in no mood to heed to his requests. As a result, he walked out. And Deepika too followed suit.”
Well, looks like Bebo has a new reason to worry.
