Lady Gaga headlines Lollapalooza

Lady Gaga will headline the annual Lollapalooza festival in Chicago.

New York: Reunited rockers Soundgarden, Lady Gaga and Green Day will headline the annual Lollapalooza festival in Chicago`s Grant Park on August 6-8, organizers said Tuesday.Arcade Fire, the Strokes, Phoenix, The National, Spoon, Devo, Cypress Hill, Cut Copy, the New Pornographers, Erykah Badu, Slightly Stoopid, Grizzly Bear, Gogol Bordello, Chromeo, Wolfmother, Yeasayer and X Japan are also among the more than 130 bands, musicians, and DJs set to perform.
Three-day passes have gone on sale at USD 215 each, inclusive of the service charge. Soundgarden announced on New Year`s Eve that it will reunite this year for its first concerts since 1997. Lollapalooza is the first confirmed appearance by the Seattle rock quartet. Lady Gaga`s appearance at Lollapalooza is part of her previously announced Monster`s Ball tour, which stops at arenas across North America throughout the summer. Last year`s Lollapalooza was the third-highest grossing music festival of 2009, according to Billboard Boxscore. The festival grossed USD 14,082,461 and was attended by 225,000 people over three sold-out days. Bureau Report
