Bundchen calls for breastfeeding law

Gisele Bundchen wants to ensure new mothers do breastfeed their babies.

London: Supermodel Gisele Bundchen has called for a "worldwide law" to ensure new mothers breastfeed their babies for six months after giving birth.
The 30-year-old became a first-time mother to baby Benjamin last year. She wants the US lawmakers to introduce a bill enforcing the practice to ensure newborns get the nutrients they need.
"I think there should be a worldwide law, in my opinion, that mothers should breastfeed their babies for six months," a news website quoted her as saying. "Some people here (in the US) think they don`t have to breastfeed, and I think, Are you going to give chemical food to your child when they are so little?" she said. The Brazilian stunner also revealed that feeding helped her maintain her curves. "I think breastfeeding really helped (me keep my figure)," she added. IANS
