New Delhi: Aiming to achieve a 25 percent revenue growth in the current fiscal, digital imaging company Epson Wednesday announced the launch of M-series range of economical mono ink tank inkjet printers.
"We are looking at a revenue growth of about 20-25 percent this fiscal, and the launch of M-series printers will help us achieve this," Epson India Deputy General Manager, Consumer Product Group, S M Ramprasad told reporters on the sidelines of the event here.
The colour ink tank system printers launched earlier have been hugely successful and well accepted by consumers and have contributed to the company's revenue growth, he added.
Epson's turnover in 2012-13 was around Rs 703 crore. The contribution from consumer product group to the revenue stood at 49 percent, while from business product group was around 51 percent, Ramprasad further said.
The newly launched M-series range of monochrome inkjet printers are for corporates who primarily print black and white documents and who demand the lowest running costs possible along with crisp print quality, Epson in a release said.
The new business inkjet models launched Wednesday are Epson M100 single function mono ink tank system printer with a price of Rs 9,999 and Epson M200 all-in-one mono ink tank system printer priced at Rs 13,999.
New series of printers are compact and equipped to print a volume of 8000 pages with the initial bundle of inks and 6000 pages for each bottle of refill ink; cost per page will be 12 paise that is 90 percent lower compared to genuine laser toner and 70 percent lower than third party refilled laser toner cartridges.
"SMBs will be the first target to sell our products as conversions are easier and faster at small business, and big industries will follow," Ramprasad said.
