Madonna wreaks blasphemy fears in Russia with upcoming concert

Pop diva Madonna has outraged Russian officials who fear the singer will wreak blasphemous havoc with a forthcoming concert in front of the country`s oldest museum.

London, May 07: Pop diva Madonna has outraged Russian officials who fear the singer will wreak blasphemous havoc with a forthcoming concert in front of the country`s oldest museum. The 50-year-old is set to perform in August in front of the Hermitage Museum, in the main square of St. Petersburg, and the authorities are now demanding the "Frozen" hitmaker to vow not to cause trouble at her show, reports contactmusic.com.
The museum`s director, Mikhail Piotrovski, has even branded the upcoming event a "natural disaster". "We want guarantees that there will be no blasphemy," he said. Piotrovski is also forcing Madonna to sign an agreement that would keep her from playing music too loudly. IANS
