Jennifer Lopez wanted divorce last year, says friend

London: Jennifer Lopez was ready to leave her estranged husband Marc Anthony last year, says the singer`s friend.

JLo marriage had been in trouble for some time and on July 15 the couple announced they were splitting. "Jen told him she wanted out of the marriage late last year, but he begged her to stay. She stayed, but she was miserable until finally she couldn`t take it anymore," femalefirst.co.uk quoted a friend as saying. It has also been reported the couple nearly split in 2009, over Anthony`s alleged affair with an airline stewardess. "Jennifer was going to leave him then, but Marc begged her to stay. They went to marriage counselling and she decided to give it another shot. He was someone she truly loved," said a source. IANS
