Kanye to perform on Saturday Night Live

Kanye West is set to be a guest performer on the cult show, SNL.

Los Angeles: He had taken a pot shot at the `Saturday Night Live` in his latest single `Power` but controversial rapper Kanye West is set to be a guest performer on the cult show. West is scheduled to perform on the second episode of this upcoming season with Bryan Cranston of `Breaking Bad` as a host, reported New York Post.
The rapper was in news for the wrong reasons after he interrupted Taylor Swift`s acceptance speech, saying her trophy should have gone to Beyonce, at the 2009 MTV VMA awards. There is no word on whether or not the rapper will sit down for an interview and appear in a sketch. When visiting the show in 2007, West poked fun at himself in a skit, mocking the angry speech he delivered at the MTV VMAs after losing all of the nominations he got. The rapper had again grabbed headlines The new season of `SNL` will be kicked off with an episode where Katy Perry will be singing and Amy Poehler will be returning to take the hosting duty. PTI
