Kate Middleton’s mum sends sales of Dukan Diet soaring

London: Ever since Kate Middleton’s mum Carole revealed she is a fan of Dukan Diet, the sales for the book have gone up. It has become the best-selling diet book in Britain and foodstuffs linked to the plan have experienced a 100 percent spike in sales.

Asked for the secret of its success in the UK, creator Pierre Dukan replied that it was down to two factors. “It works, and Carole Middleton,” the Daily Mail quoted him as saying. Former British Airways airhostess Carole, 56, let her diet secret slip last October, before her daughter’s engagement to Prince William was announced. “I’ve been doing it for four days and I’ve lost four pounds,” Carole told an interviewer. Sales of the diet book and website subscriptions have risen significantly, five months after the Dukan Diet was launched in Britain last May. The book has sold more than 250,000 copies in the UK alone. ANI
