Christian Bale to hang up Batman cape after ‘The Dark Knight Rises’

Bale has revealed that he will not be playing Batman any more after ‘The Dark Knight Rises’.

London: Christian Bale has revealed that he will not be playing Batman any more after ‘The Dark Knight Rises’.
The 37-year-old actor said that it will also be the director Christopher Nolan’s last movie on the cape crusader, marking the end of an era. “I wrapped a few days ago so that will be the last time I’m taking that [Batman hood] off,” the Daily Mail quoted the British actor as telling the Daily Inquirer. “I believe that the whole production wrapped yesterday, so it’s all done. Everything’s finished. “It’s me and [director Christopher Nolan] - that will be the end of that Batman era,” he added. Bale has starred in three Batman films under Nolan’s direction: 2005’s ‘Batman Begins’, 2008’s ‘The Dark Knight’ and the upcoming film ‘The Dark Knight Rises’. ANI
