Katy Perry flaunts a gothic look at PFW

Paris: Sexy singer Katy Perry ditched the usual retro look to showcase a rather gothic look for designer Sonia Rykiel at the ongoing Paris Fashion Week. The look, a first one for the singer, had her flaunting smoky eyes, film star waves and a sequin beaded frock that took her from being retro bombshell to big femme fatale. Another collection that garnered much attention was that of designer Sophia Kokosalaki. It may not be suitable to call it the most obvious ‘fashion’ collection, but the clothes were beautifully folded and draped, pretty much like what one would want out of a decent collection. Particularly for the purists, the cotton tunics with which she opened the show were simple but astonishingly beautiful. Kokosalaki reinforced the fact that she has a very delicate touch. Her dresses might look plain from the front, but turn around and there is a tiny border of tulle, placed just so, to float delicately from beneath a cropped back. Her folding and drapery are equally precise.
