`Gamyam` adjudged best Telugu feature film for 2008

Telugu movie `Gamyam`, depicting the escapades of two motorcyclists and their bid to make Naxalites abjure violence and join the mainstream, has won the Andhra Pradesh Government`s Golden Nandi for best feature film for 2008.

`Vinayakudu` and `Parugu` bagged the silver and copper Nandis for second and third best feature films. Information and Public Relations Commissioner Pardhasarathi who announced the awards today said the awards will be presented on Ulgadi day next year. `Gamyam` (Destination) is a 2008 Telugu film directed by foreign-returned and debutante Radha Krishna Jagarlamudi. The film starring Allari Naresh, Sharwanand, and Kamalinee Mukherjee, is inspired from an Oscar winning movie `The Motorcycle Diaries`. Bureau Report
