London: Oscar-winning actress Julia Roberts has admitted she struggled eating masses of pizza and pasta for her new film ‘Eat, Pray, Love.’
The star admitted while she enjoyed the eating, after several takes, the novelty wore off. "It was hard on take 10 on a giant plate of pasta,” a news daily quoted Roberts as telling a news daily. "It is a challenge and I love a good meal - someone suggested I had a spit bucket but I can`t do that because it makes me gag. It just grosses me out. "I`ve always been a friend of food. I probably put on about seven pounds in Rome when we were shooting. I ate a lot of pizzas in Naples. It was just great,” Roberts said. Food-lover Julia asserted she never felt the pressure to slim for the spotlight, since becoming a star. "That is a strange thing that happens. People get wildly famous and they get incredibly slim,” she said. "I don`t know. It never happened to me. I look the same. I guess that is my staying power. My fighting weight, she added. ‘Eat, Pray, Love’ is an adaptation of Elizabeth Gilbert`s best-selling novel about an American woman who goes travelling "to find herself" after getting divorced. It will be released in September this year. ANI
