Paltrow, Hurley donate designer wear

Paltrow, Hurley and Shirley Bassey have donated their old designer clothes.

London: Hollywood stars like Gwyneth Paltrow, Elizabeth Hurley and Shirley Bassey have donated their old designer clothes in order to raise money for charity. The celebrities cleared out their wardrobes for `The Really Really Great Garage Sale` at London`s Selfridges store on Sunday in aid of the `Mothers4Children` charity, reported Contactmusic.
A pair of Bassey`s shoes sold for USD 160, while `Shakespeare in Love` star Paltrow and actress-turned designer Hurley`s clothes also helped raise much needed cash. Comedian David Walliams, British singer Louise Redknapp and TV presenter Denise Van Outen were among the stars manning stalls, each garnering more than USD 8,000 in profit. "It`s actually hard to part with things because as I was putting it in the bag, I thought, `I might wear that.` And then something kicked in and I thought, `This is going to help a lot of children in difficult periods of their lives`, and that`s more important than me wearing it on a Saturday night out," said Redknapp. Bureau Report
