India's exports dip 5.47% to $22.71 billion in March

New Delhi: India's exports dipped 5.47 percent to USD 22.71 billion in March.

For the entire 2015-16 fiscal it remained down 15.85 percent at USD 261.1 billion.

Cumulative value of exports for the period April-March 2015-16 was USD 261.1 billion  as against USD 310.3 billion registering a negative growth of 15.85 percent in dollar terms and 9.89 percent in rupee terms over the same period last year.

Imports during March, 2016 were valued at USD 27.78 billion which was 21.56 percent lower in dollar terms and 15.82 per cent lower in rupee terms over the level of imports valued at USD 35.42 billion in March, 2015.

Cumulative value of imports for the period April-March 2015-16 was USD 379.5 billion as against USD 448.03billion registering a negative growth of 15.28 percent in dollar terms and 9.34 percent in rupee terms over the same period last year.
