Saif vying to star in Vishal Bharadwaj’s ‘The Departed’

Mumbai: Saif Ali Khan is getting desperate to be a part of critically acclaimed director Vishal Bhardwaj’s next flick. Saif, whose career reached its epitome after ‘Omkara’, has reportedly expressed a keen desire to star in Bharadwaj’s remake of ‘The Departed’. According to reports, Saif is not the only one vying to star in this one, but his girlfriend Kareena is also more than interested to star in the same. It is believed that the two actors are ready to work on the new project as soon as Vishal’s ‘Kaminey’, with Shahid Kapur and Priyanka Chopra, is released. Sources suggest that a big production house has bought the copyright of ‘The Departed’ and has approached Vishal to direct it. Though, there hasn’t been a confirmation from Vishal’s side as yet but what’s known is the fact that Saif won’t mind playing the role of either of the protagonists, played by Matt Damon and Leonardo DiCaprio in the original. Well, looks like Saifeena are planning to repeat their ‘Omkara’ success once again.
