New Delhi: When the word resort comes to our mind, all we can think of less clothes. Mumbai-based designer Troy Costa is set to change this mindset with his masculine silhouette collection at the upcoming men`s fashion week.
The collection titled "Kudata" is aimed at people who are getting married at exotic resorts or vibrant beaches.
"Resort wear need not to be beach wear only. A lot of people are opting for resort weddings and hence my collection is aimed at them. I want to dress up a man for this occasion -- who has informal thinking in formal style of dressing," Costa told IANS from Mumbai in an interview.
Costa has used semi-transparent shirts in various hues. The fabrics for this line are creatively conceptualized with over-dyed textiles and techniques like blotching and pleating.
"My clothes have a lot of detailing, overprinting, weaving textures. There is a complete special treatment given to all my clothes. People normally associate men`s wear as boring, I like to use a lot of techniques to make it interesting," he said.
This Mumbai-based designer has previously participated in three editions of Lakme Fashion Week and this is the first time he will be showcasing in the capital at the Van Heusen India Men`s Week (VHIMW) that starts Friday.
