Rain plays spoilsport for David Beckham`s Maldives break

The Beckham family had to cut short their 250,000 pounds-worth Christmas break in Maldives due to incessant rain.

Los Angeles: The Beckham family had to cut short their 250,000 pounds-worth Christmas break in Maldives due to incessant rain.
After three days of downpour, David, 37, Victoria, 38, and their four kids decided to end the vacation. They boarded a private plane back to Male airport in the Indian Ocean island group, before heading to somewhere sunnier, reports thesun.co.uk. It was a major disappointment for the family, who had arrived at a Maldives resort Rah resort Dec 23, hoping to stay for 11 days. "It really is unfortunate for them, especially because it`s such a beautiful place. But there was hardly anything for them to do except wait for the rain to stop. They arrived too late to leave in time to snatch Christmas Day somewhere sunny so they left on Wednesday," said a source. "They were told by staff the rain could pass any day but the forecast for the coming days didn`t look good either. You can only keep four children inside without anything to do for so long, especially over Christmas," added the source. IANS
