Hilton`s `My New BFF’ to go Dubai

Paris Hilton will soon be seen searching for a best friend in the Middle East.

Washington, June 02: Paris Hilton will soon be seen searching for a best friend in the Middle East, for producers of ‘Paris Hilton`s My New BFF’ are now taking the show to Dubai. Lionsgate and Ish Entertainment have stuck a deal with a Dubai-based shingle to produce a new version of the show.
Dubai-based Uniqon is funding most of the project, which will follow the celebrity heiress while she puts a group of young women through a series of tests to see who would best complement her lifestyle. Half of the participants on the show are from the Middle East, while the rest from elsewhere, but currently living in Dubai. "I love it for the sheer wildcard aspect of it. It`s so out of the ordinary," Variety magazine quoted Ish Entertainment co-founder Michael Hirschhorn as saying. ‘Paris Hilton`s My New BFF-Dubai’ will stick to the same format found in the US and UK versions of the show. However, Hirschhorn said that keeping Middle East sensibilities in mind, the Dubai production won`t be quite as racy as the other editions, which means there won’t be any alcohol on this version. And the production has promised to adhere to local cultural sensitivities—swearing, sexually explicit conversation or risque clothing will be kept to a minimum. The production even had to seek blessings from Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the ruler of Dubai, before moving forward. Hilton’s boyfriend, Doug Reinhardt, will also accompany her to Dubai, and will likely appear on camera as well. Production will start later this month. The lensing will take place for 17 days, before the finale concludes with a final shoot in Los Angeles. ANI
