Lindsay Lohan’s hit-and-run surveillance clip points at exaggerated claims by victim

Washington: The surveillance video of Lindsay Lohan’s hit-and-run incident supports her alleged victim’s claim, but it also suggests that he might have exaggerated his account of injuries.

The grainy and blurry black-and-white video released shows a jet-black Porsche Cayenne zooming into the entrance ramp to a Chelsea hotspot, clipping cook Jose Rodriguez, 34, and scattering a half-dozen other clubgoers out front, the New York Daily News reported. The car, which police said, the 26-year-old actress was driving, continued down the ramp between the Maritime and Dream Hotels leading to the underground Electric Room nightclub. Rodriguez had previously said that when the car hit him he “fell to the side” and “was in so much pain.” But the video doesn’t show him falling after being struck rather it shows him immediately twirling around and following the car down the ramp. According to a source, the ‘Parent Trap’ star had blinked her car’s headlights at people blocking the ramp before proceeding forward. But that’s not clear in the video. In the video, it is impossible to see if Rodriguez is indeed in pain because police have blurred out all the faces in the footage. The encounter just after Wednesday midnight prompted cops to arrest Lohan. She was issued a desk summons for leaving the scene of an accident and released. Rodriguez said that he followed the car and confronted the occupants. He insisted that Lohan had been “slurring” her words and “smelled of alcohol.” But by the time cops arrested her, which was two hours after the accident, they found no indication that she was intoxicated and neither was she submitted to a breathalyzer test.
