Pete Doherty denied entry into US

Rocker Pete Doherty, who was slated to perform with John Lennon`s son Sean in New York, has been denied entry into the US.

London: Rocker Pete Doherty, who was slated to perform with John Lennon`s son Sean in New York, has been denied entry into the US.
The 31-year-old artist, who has a string of drug convictions attached to his name, flew into the Big Apple but was sent back from the airport, reported Sun online.
The Libertines singer was hoping customs officials would ignore his wild past, but was put back on a flight to London just hours later. Doherty told his friends that he wanted to do a show in the States despite its strict ban on drug offenders. "He thought he could get away with it. He was wrong," said a friend. Sean, 34, expresses his sadness at Doherty not joining him for Thursday`s show. "He stressed it wasn`t Pete`s fault," said a fan. PTI
