An adapted sleeve for the Beatles’ ‘Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band’ has been named the world’s rarest album cover.

London: An adapted sleeve for the Beatles’ ‘Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band’ has been named the world’s rarest album cover.
The modified version was doctored from Sir Peter Blake’s original artwork, and features the faces of music executives from Capitol Records in place of the Fab Four and other notable figures. The rare album sleeve is said to be worth about 70,000 pounds and only about 100 were reportedly made. It was created to celebrate the success of the record, which was released in June 1967, the BBC reported. The artwork is one of five Beatles album sleeves to feature in the top 10, compiled by Record Collector magazine. ANI
