National Awards winning film’s team meets TN CM

After bagging six national awards including `Best Actor` and `Best Screenplay`, the team of Tamil movie `Aadukalam` (playfield) today met Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa at the Secretariat here.

Chennai: After bagging six national awards including `Best Actor` and `Best Screenplay`, the team of Tamil movie `Aadukalam` (playfield) today met Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa at the Secretariat here.
The team was led by the film`s director Vetrimaaran, actor and son-in-law of Tamil superstar Rajinikanth, Dhanush and editor Kishore Kumar, official sources said. Speaking to reporters, Dhanush, recipient of the `Best Actor` award, said that the Chief Minister told them that they had made the state proud by bagging the national awards. At the 58th National Awards announced on May 19, 14 Tamil movies including the Rajinikanth starrer `Endhiran`, bagged a host of awards. While `Aadukalam`, set in the backdrop of rooster fights, picked up six awards, `Endhiran` got three. PTI
