E.T. voted Greatest Alien Film Ever

London: Steven Spielberg`s 1982 classic E.T. has been voted the greatest alien film ever.The movie starring a young Drew Barrymore was voted as the favorite in a poll of 7,675 film fans conducted by phone recycling website PhonePiggyBank.com.

The film beat Will Smith`s Men In Black, which ranked in the second place, followed by Independence Day at the third. ``E.T. is a film for the whole family. It is emotionally-charged, funny and engaging and will never be equalled in terms of its originality and global appeal," the Telegraph quoted a spokesman for the website that carried out the study, as saying. ``It is a worthy winner and it actually beat a string of bigger budget movies to come top." ``This shows that quite often the golden oldies are better than more modern flicks," the rep added.
