Jessie J cancels festival appearance saying her ‘voice has gone for a walk’

Jessie J has apologized to her fans for cancelling her show at the Future Music Festival in Perth, Australia.

London: Jessie J has apologized to her fans for cancelling her show at the Future Music Festival in Perth, Australia. Making the announcement on her Twitter page, the 23-year-old singer explained that her voice needed a rest.
“So my voice has decided to go for a walk :( MASSIVE sorry to all my fans who wanted to see me today at #futuremusicfest”, a leading daily has quoted her as tweeting. “I was advised to not do the show due to my voice going due to tiredness\jetlag because that’s the #TRUTH,” she added. Jessie was to perform along with Fatboy Slim, Tinie Tempah and the Swedish House Mafia at the festival. However, it seems that the British star may not have received the sympathy that she was expecting and instead became the victim of some cruel jokes. Twitter users began comparing her situation to that of fellow UK singer Adele, which angered Jessie. “I must say I DO NOT find Adele voice jokes funny. What happened to her voice was serious and no joke. It’s horrible for any singer to have vocal problems and we should all understand how hard it was for her not by making jokes but by supporting her amazing comeback”, she said. This isn’t the first time that the singer has cancelled a festival appearance as after rupturing several tendons in her foot during rehearsals at the Capital Radio Summertime Ball in June 2011, she had to pull out of several gigs. Her latest cancellation comes after she recently enjoyed the launch of new television show ‘The Voice’, in which she is a mentor. ANI
