Spider Man musical looks for talent

Producers of `Spider Man` musical are all set to stage open casting sessions.

London, Apr 08: The producers of the upcoming `Spider Man` musical are all set to stage open casting sessions across the US for the lead parts of the Broadway show.The stage adaptation of the hit superhero flick will feature songs penned by Bono and The Edge from `U2`, reported Contactmusic.

According to producers they are looking for "performers with dynamic rock/pop voices including those with experience in bands and as solo performers." The show will be directed by Julie Taymor who has previously worked on musicals including `Across The Universe` and `The Lion King`. "The Wresler" star Evan Rachel Wood was previously reported to be signed to play the female lead, but Taymor denied this saying that they still haven`t found what they`re looking for. The musical will be one amongst the many recent shows which have been adapted from successful films like `Colour Purple`, `Chicago` and `8 Mile` which featured hip hop star Eminem. Bureau Report
