Mumbai: The hot jodi of ‘Band Baaja Baraat’ is no more a jodi in real life. Chatty and chirpy Ranvir Singh revealed about his personal life in an interview with a daily recently.
He and Anushka were a hot couple until few weeks ago when rumors of their split started doing the rounds. When he was asked what went wrong and what is their current relationship status, the clever and talkative Ranvir said, “I was very attracted to her. I don`t know if I`ve ever been in love. I don`t know what love means. We drifted because we don`t get to see each other as much as we used to. I think circumstances drove us apart.
He further added, “We worked together continuously for a year in ‘Band Bajaa Baraat’ and saw each other every day. Over a period of time we made common friends and hung out together going for dinners and movies. Now that our work is over, Anushka has forged her own path and signed on lots of movies. Now we don`t meet each other at all.”
So it is clear there has yet been another love story in B-town which has apparently not had a happy ending.
The two shared a great chemistry on screen and off screen but are no more to be seen together for obvious reasons. Ranvir revealed, “I miss her a lot. Anushka is the kind of girl you`ll always miss, especially if she`s been a part of your life and then suddenly isn`t. You feel a void.”
But at the same time the grapevine has been buzzing with speculations that Ranvir is seeing ‘Dabangg’ hottie Sonakshi Sinha. They have been spotted hanging out together and they even performed at the recent IIFA Awards in Toronto.
On being questioned about his relationship with the dusky beauty, Ranvir said, “I do find Sonakshi very attractive, but we are not dating. I have met her many times and we share a healthy friendship. Right now I am single. I wouldn`t mind if love comes along, but for the moment it`s work over love.”
Well, going by his comments, Ranvir seems to learning the trick of the trade quite fast. Looks like, the actor is set for a long innings in the game of love.
