New Delhi: With rave reviews at the New York Film festival, continuous Oscar Buzz and overwhelming positive reactions in India with a successful visit, Ang Lee’s ‘Life Of Pi’ has been one of the most anticipated 2012 movies since its filming! And adding to the tremendous expectations from the Oscar winning director is Hollywood’s own 3D genius i.e James Cameron’s praise for the flick!
Ang Lee’s ‘Life Of Pi’ is all set to establish new benchmarks in filming and reaffirming the visual extravaganza in store is James Cameron who has spoken on the film. "`Life of Pi` breaks the paradigm that 3-D has to be some big, action fantasy spectacle, superhero movie. The movie is visually amazing, inventive, and it works on you in ways you’re not really aware of. It takes you on a journey, and unless you’ve read the book -- which I hadn’t -- you have no idea where that journey is going. It does what good 3-D is supposed to do, which is, it allows you to forget you’re watching a 3-D movie." The 3D element helped explore new avenues says director Ang Lee who was recently in Mumbai, “I can`t think of this film without 3D. Thanks to 3D, I managed to take this film beyond imagination and new possibilities," says Lee. Releasing on Nov 23, Life Of Pi stars debutante Suraj Sharma along with Tabu and Irrfan Khan. Well, with the 3D master James Cameron speaking for the special effects, one can only wait with bated breath for the cinematic extravaganza to unfold on the big screen! Life Of Pi releases on 23rd November in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telegu.
