Sensex gains after five sessions of losses, trading above 20,500 level
The benchmark BSE Sensex is 0.11 percent up, while the broader Nifty gains 0.15 percent.

Mumbai: The S&P BSE benchmark Sensex opened in green on Tuesday after five session of losses led by gains in realty, banking, FMCG, capital and goods and IT sector .
Sensex is 0.11 percent up, while the broader Nifty gains 0.15 percent. Sensex gained by 13.13 points to trade at 20,504. The broad based Nifty gained 13.25 points to trade at 6092 in the late session of trade today.
Rate-sensitive stocks like Maruti Suzuki is up 1.7 pct, IDFC Ltd up 1.8 percent - contribute to value-buying after five days of falls in the index.
Among the losers, Tata Motors falls 2 percent after Nomura downgrades stock after results.
Britannia gains 6 percent after a 66 percent surge in September quarter profit.
