Mumbai: Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan is unaware of his name being used for a film by Sunil Bohra, distributor of ‘Tanu Weds Manu’.
Buzz has it that Bohra is mouthing the name of A-list directors and coercing them to remake John Travolta-Nicholas Cage starrer Hollywood blockbuster ‘Face-Off’ (1997).
Apparently, Aamir and Saif, two actors whose names have been used by Bohra are completely unaware about any such project. In addition, Bohra has no official rights to remake ‘Face-Off’. Talking to a daily, a source said, “Bohra told Ayaan that he should direct the remake of ‘Face-Off’ for him with Ranbir Kapoor and Imran Khan in the lead roles.” After approaching Ayaan, Bohra also contacted Sanjay Gupta. “Bohra told Gupta that Aamir Khan would do the remake of ‘Face-Off’. He even told Gupta that Aamir would arrange to get Saif Ali Khan on board for the second role,” said the source. However, when contacted, Bohra feigned ignorance and said, “Mere paas ‘Face-Off’ ke rights nahin hai. Aur Aamir koi remake mein kaam karta hi nahi. Main Ayaan aur Gupta se nahin mila hoon.” In fact, Sanjay Gupta clarified, “Bohra had come with the offer you are talking about. After that, he never got back.” Meanwhile, a source close to Aamir Khan said, “Aamir was never in talks with Bohra for a remake of Face Off. How can Bohra go and speak to anybody outside like this? What’s happening?”
