Campbell turns 40 with boisterous bash

Naomi lived up to her reputation as a party girl at her 40th birthday.

London: Naomi lived up to her reputation as a party girl as she celebrated her 40th birthday with a star-studded bash attended by the likes of Jennifer Lopez and Fergie. The British beauty and her Russian tycoon boyfriend, Vladimir Doronin threw a bash at the exclusive Hotel du Cap in Cannes to ring in the big day, reported Daily Mail online.

Campbell knocked back the cocktails before taking to the dance floor with Lopez and Mary J Blige. Campbell, who counts Adam Clayton of U2 and Jack Nicholson among her former lovers, has come a long way since quitting school at the age of 15 to pursue a modelling career. The celebrations began quietly with a lunch in St Tropez`s upmarket La Voile Rouge with Doronin, J-Lo and Marc Anthony, after which she squeezed in some shopping. Then it was back to the Hotel du Cap down the coast in Antibes to organise the party, the highlight of which was a 45-minute set by Fergie and the Black Eyed Peas. Guests included Topshop boss Sir Philip Green and his daughter Chloe, Eva Herzigova, Sarah Ferguson and Princess Beatrice and Grace Jones. Guests were offered a choice of cocktails on arrival, including the Campbelltini and Naomito. After dinner, special messages were relayed from P Diddy and the model Tyson Beckford and then it was time for everybody to hit the dancefloor. Lopez in particular seemed to enjoy herself, hitching up her gold skirt and wheeling around with a broad grin on her face, to the obvious delight of husband Anthony. At midnight, the music stopped so guests could sing `Happy Birthday` and a three-tier cake was brought out and Doronin stood up to give a charming speech praising his "wild woman" and describing her as his "great love".
