I won`t be doing London Olympics: Ringo Starr

London: Former Beatles drummer Ringo Star will not perform at the London Olympics next year. Gold medal-winning rower Steve Redgrave hinted that organisers want to re-team Starr with veteran singer Sir Paul McCartney as part of the event, reports dailystar.co.uk.

But the drummer says that he won`t be involved in any such line-up as he will be performing in the US, "I`ll be touring America so I won`t be doing it." Singers like Mick Jagger and John Lydon were asked to kick off the Olympics` opening ceremony, which is being directed by Danny Boyle. The games will start from July 27 and will go on till Aug 12.
