My collection didn`t require any star, says Nandita Mahtani

New Delhi: Fashion designer Nandita Mahtani may have had rumoured boyfriend actor Dino Morea cheering her at Wills India Fashion Week here today but B-town`s favourite designer chose to showcase her collection without any celebrity showstopper.

She has dressed the likes of Salman Khan, Arjun Rampal and Katrina Kaif and her Hollywood clientele includes A-listers like Madonna, Claudia Schiffer and Beyonce but surprisingly she had no star walking the ramp today. "I was both excited and nervous to come here. This collection did not require anyone from some Bollywood that`s why I did not had any celebrity walking the ramp from me," Nandita told reporters after the show. Nandita`s evening-wear resort line for women of all ages had fabrics like georgette, chiffon, lycra and knit mixing Bandhani with butterflies which is also the designer`s logo. "The line spells metallics and military chick as a huge trend. Dark edgy and tailored looks speckled with simple sexy silhouettes make this an unusual symphony. The idea is to offset sexy dresses with a dash of the unexpected and have fun with fashion and accessories. These are statement pieces, which makes every woman, feel like a diva," she said. Dino, who is rumoured to be back with ex-girlfriend Mahtani, was cheering for her in the front row who came to the fashion show, especially to support his dear friend. "She is a very good of friend of mine and I came to support her. I really liked the collection she showcased today," Morea said. PTI
