Messi invites former Oasis member Noel to watch him play

London: Lionel Messi has has invited former Oasis member Noel Gallagher to watch him play in El Classico, the Barcelona-Real Madrid derby.

The British band were the inspiration for pre-match preparations in the Argentina dressing-room during the recently concluded World Cup in South Africa. Now Messi, who plays for the club FC Barcelona, wants to return the favour by getting the guitar legend over to Nou Camp stadium, reported Sun online. "Maybe Noel could give the boys a live set after training and they could see how great Oasis are. At the moment they refuse to listen to anything other than Kasbian," Messi said. "We could also go for an Argentinean steak at this great South American restaurant in Barcelona. And if my plan works, it will mean Oasis being played in the world`s greatest football club - after Man City, of course!" he added. PTI
