London: British rapper Dizzee Rascal is teaming up with comedian James Corden for the recording of a song for England’s World Cup campaign. The recording is being directed by British TV personality Simon Cowell.
The trio is re-working on a 80s classic but they have not revealed the track, reports The Sun. “I`m going down to South Africa to spread some love. I think we can win the World Cup and I`m doing my bit,” Dizzee said. “Simon got in touch with Dizzee with the idea. He really admires how Dizzee has gone from hardcore rapper to chart-topping hit maker. To say Dizzee was surprised to hear from him is an understatement. But they really hit it off,” a source revealed. “Simon is supervising the project and suggested that Dizzee should share some vocals with James. They``ve taken a huge hit from the 80s and brought it bang up to date,” the source added. “It`s bound to be huge,” the source further said. ANI
