Mumbai: Yeah, you read it right. The illustrious Roshans have made a rather surprising move because of which they have also miffed choreographer/director Farah Khan.
According to latest news reports, the Roshans have deleted the much talked about Latino song- choreographed by celebrated choreographer Farah Khan from their home production ‘Kites’. What’s even more surprising is the fact that Farah hasn’t been informed about the move as yet.
Sources suggest that ‘Kites’ needed editing to make its length tolerable as Rakesh Roshan is looking at the international audience too, hence, the song choreographed by Farah Khan, became the very first victim. But considering the fact that it was Farah who choreographed the song, courtesy demands that Roshans should have informed her about it. Apparently, two weeks have lapsed since the cut happened but Rakesh Roshan has still not found the time to speak to Farah and explain their decision.
The song in question was a salsa number that was shot over two-and-a-half days with the lead pair, Hrithik and Barbara Mori. When contacted, Farah Khan confirmed that she had not been intimated, “I am not aware that my song is not in ‘Kites’ anymore.”
When asked if she was upset with the entire thing, the choreographer said, “I am not upset. It must be for the betterment of ‘Kites’. And maybe I will be informed after the final print is out.” Phew, that’s some statement Ms Khan, here’s hoping that the Roshans will be able to read between the lines.
