Jamie Foxx bags lead role in ‘Django Unchained’

Washington: Jamie Foxx has bagged the lead role in Quentin Tarantino’s latest flick ‘Django Unchained’.

The Oscar-winning actor will take on the titular character in the spaghetti western, which also stars Christoph Waltz, Leonardo DiCaprio and Samuel L. Jackson. Foxx nabbed the part after a dramatic search that started with Will Smith and included Terrence Howard, Chris Tucker and Idris Elba, reports Contactmusic. The film is set in Mississippi during the days of slavery and tells the story of a slave named Django, who is liberated by a German dentist-turned-bounty hunter (Waltz). ANI
