UAE producer makes supernatural thriller `The Caller`

Dubai: A woman film producer from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has financed the making of an English supernatural thriller, "The Caller", which narrates the story of a woman who receives sinister phone calls from the past.

Directed by Matthew Parkhill, "The Caller" is a thrilling psychodrama, starring Rachelle Lefevre and Stephen Moyer. It has been produced by prominent Emirati producer Amina Dasmal and Robin Fox. The movie was shot in Puerto Rico and narrates the story of a divorced woman who receives phone calls from the past. She tries to break off contact but the caller is looking for revenge. Amina Dasmal has been recognised by Forbes as one of the "Top 50 Most Influential Business Women in the Middle East in 2009". She was also named among the "100 Most Powerful Women of 2011" by Arabian Business magazine. IANS
