New Delhi: Transgender activist Laxmi Narayan Tripathi, who was evicted from `Bigg Boss 5` Saturday, says she is glad to have left with her "dignity and self-respect" intact. She predicts troublemaker VJ Pooja Misrra will end up being one of the top three contenders on the reality show.
"My journey in the show was fantastic. When I was nominated this time, I knew it 110 percent that I will be evicted. So I am fine with the public`s decision. I am only happy that I have managed to come out without losing my dignity and self respect," Tripathi told reporters over phone from Mumbai, after leaving the `Bigg Boss 5` house.
Tripathi, who is known for her fights for the LGBT community, entered the show Oct 2 with 12 female celebrities and one male celebrity. In six weeks of her stay, she not just came across as a strong, determined and opinionated person, but also proved her point - that transgenders are after all, the same humans as all!
Of all her co-participants, Tripathi feels Pooja has a definite chance to reach the finals.
"Juhi Parmar and Amar Upadhyay stand a chance to reach the finals, but Pooja Missra seems to be the most likely to reach the final three because she is the biggest footage queen ever," said Tripathi.
Pooja has been the centre of attention this season thanks to her catfights and over-the-top attitude. She has received a lot of flak from her co-participants, but the audience seems to be in love with her melodrama.
"Pooja Misrra has been nominated for eviction five times…but I guess the viewers are enjoying watching her. She is such an opportunist, and making the best use of the platform by grabbing so much footage," added Tripathi, who feels actor Akashdeep Saigal`s behaviour in the `Bigg Boss 5` house is "gross and crass".
"Bigg Boss" is an Indian adaptation of international reality show "Big Brother". It features celebrities, who are locked together in a secluded house, away from the humdrum of their busy lives, without any connect with the outside world, and under 24X7 camera surveillance.
