Beijing: Couples can now hope to heal their seven -year itch by posting a love letter to themselves only to receive it back after seven years as a reminder of their love.
Beijing Post is set to launch a service to store love letters and deliver them after seven years, as a part of their romantic services, the China Daily reports. The seven-year time is commonly believed to be a critical phase in a relationship, as partners might become unfaithful after this stage. A new zip code 100099 would be written at the bottom of all letters and postcards. "We came up with the services not only to expand our business but also to offer the public another way to express their love," a Post Office manager Liu Jingmin said. Some of the services, which are offered by Beijing Post in collaboration with civil affairs bureau have already become popular, especially among students. "It``s fun and romantic to send a love postcard. I love sending postcards in my spare time. The postmarks are especially unique among all the ones I``ve sent or collected,” Beijing Forestry University student Peng Shuoxuan said. Liu said love passports have become proving popular among is customers. However, some people have feel that receiving a love letter after seven years has certain drawbacks. "It`d be more than depressing if I received a love letter from seven years ago and I was no longer with my then-loved one," a Tsinghua University graduate said Sun Lubin said. ANI
