Amy Winehouse’s ‘last known’ recording with Tony Bennett to be released

London: Amy Winehouse’s last known recording with legendary crooner Tony Bennett is all set to be released as a single, and will benefit a charity established in the late singer’s memory.

Proceeds from ‘Body and Soul’ single from Bennett’s forthcoming Duets II will go to Mitch Winehouse’s foundation to help those battling addiction, said Liz Rosenberg, a spokeswoman for Bennett. The song will also appear on Bennett’s ‘Duets II’ CD to be released on Sept. 20, reports the Telegraph. Bennett, a Grammy winning jazz legend whose biggest songs include ‘I Left My Heart in San Francisco’ and ‘Rags to Riches’, celebrated his 85th birthday on Wednesday. He recorded ‘Body and Soul’ with Winehouse at the Abbey Road Studios in London in March, and has credited her for her abilities as a jazz singer. ANI
