Shahid Kapoor comes to the rescue of dad Pankaj Kapoor

Mumbai: It was a rarity to find Shahid and Pankaj emotionally bonding on the sets of ‘Mausam’, where son Shahid came to the rescue of his director father, who was constantly bothered by an overbearing producer. Recently, Pankaj Kapoor, who is making his directorial debut ‘Mausam’ with son Shahid Kapoor had a horrid time when the producer of the film, Sheetal Talwar allegedly started meddling with direction. Apparently, Pankaj did not like Talwar’s constant interfering and when things got out of hand, Shahid mediated to confront an overbearing Talwar. Buzz has it that Shahid did not mince words in telling Talwar to stop interfering in his father’s work. Talking to a daily, a source said, “Enough is enough. Why do you ask so many questions? How long will this continue?” However, this altercation made Pankaj a bit uncomfortable. “Pankaj felt quite awkward and just turned away. Shahid however, continued to confront Talwar,” said the source. “Talwar`s habit of interfering is not new. It has been going on for a very long time. And it`s a bit too much for Pankaj to take. One can understand a hands-on producer, but a director definitely needs sufficient space. Talwar is present on the sets every day. And he asks too many questions almost every hour. Yeh kyun kar rahe ho? Yahan kyun shoot kar rahe ho aur koi doosri jagah pe kyun nahin? Why do you need so many junior artistes?" Given Talwar’s annoying habits, some crewmembers even left the project. When contacted, Talwar downplayed the incident and said, “Nothing like this happened.”
