New Delhi: Google’s 72-hour mega online shopping event seems to be marred by technical glitches. Google India’s ‘Great Online Shopping Festival’ (GOSF) website went kaput within less than an hour of kick-starting.

When Zeebiz tried logging in, a white screen appeared with the text "Hello World".

Meanwhile Google India has apologised via twitter. Google has tweeted that the “site will be up soon and you can shop through the deals being offered until 13th Dec”.

The internet giant search giant had plans to bring all leading e-commerce players of the country under a common platform targeting about 20 million Indian online shoppers.

The festival will also offer up to 80 percent off on home decor, flat 40 percent off on furniture, up to 50 percent off on TVs, up to 40 percent on mobile phones, up to 45 percent on computers and tablets, up to 30 percent on cameras, 40 percent on men’s footwear and many more.
