London: Producer and director Clint Eastwood has now announced that he hopes to continue directing if he makes it to his 100th year.
The 80-year-old Oscar-winning icon insisted that retirement is of no interest to him; he wants to work behind the camera for two more decades at least.
"I’m always sort of shocked when directors retire," a news daily quoted Eastwood as saying.
"I figure your best years should be at a point when you’ve got a lot of so-called knowledge.
"There’s a Portuguese director, Manoel de Oliveira, who’s still making films and he’s over 100. I plan to do the same," Eastwood added.
