Davis wants to act in a Shakespeare play

Actress Kristin Davis has fallen head over heels for the works of Shakespeare.

London: `Sex and the City` actress Kristin Davis has fallen head over heels for the works of William Shakespeare and has expressed a desire to act in one of the plays written by him. The 44-year-old actress admits that she is a huge fan of the work of the revered English playwright and is ready to swap the big screen for the stage for one particular role, a news website reported.
"I know this may sound strange, but I`ve always wanted to play the character of Viola in `Twelfth Night`. I loved reading that Shakespeare comedy ever since I was a little girl," Davis said. Apparently, the American beauty is not the only Hollywood star smitten by the Shakespeare big as actor Al Pacino, who played Shylock the Jew in the big screen version of the `Merchant of Venice` is rumoured to be teaming up with writer-and-director Michael Radford for a film adaptation of the playwright`s celebrated work `King Lear`.
