`3 Idiots` tops Britain`s Christmas viewings

London: Aamir Khan starrer Hindi film ‘3 Idiots’ has retained its position in the top 10 of the British Box Office in week two after eclipsing Hollywood`s ‘Avatar’ in Christmas viewing charts. The total overseas Box Office takings for the film so far is a record-breaking $10 million.

In Britain, "3 Idiots" has grossed more than 1.115 million pounds ($1.8 million), and as the number one film on Christmas Day, out-grossing ‘Avatar’, producers Reliance BIG Pictures said Wednesday. The film is Britain`s highest grossing Bollywood film of 2009 and now the highest grossing Indian film ever to release in the US, beating the takings of ‘Om Shati Om.’ IANS
